Dr. Vincent S. Scott is a Chicago native and a graduate of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. After completing his training in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Scott moved to Marietta, GA in 1986. At that time he “hung out a shingle” and has been in private practice ever since. For 30 years Dr. Scott has been on staff at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. He is also on staff at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. Since 2009 Dr. Scott has limited his practice to gynecology and pelvic surgery.

Dr. Scott is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Gynecology and Urogynecology (Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery). Board certification in Urogynecology means that he has demonstrated proficiency in the management of problems such as uterine prolapse, transvaginal hysterectomy, urinary incontinence and support problems of the vulva and vagina. He has a fellowship with the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS). Special interest and experience: Transvaginal hysterectomy and prolapse repair surgery.

Dr. Scott enjoys cycling and volunteer service. Dr. Scott is also committed to volunteer medical service. He has provided volunteer medical services in rural towns in Tennessee with Remote Area Medical (RAM).

Dr. Scott also participates in surgical mission trips to the Dominican Republic with Medical Ministries International (MMI). As part of the surgical team, he performs abdominal and pelvic surgery for the wonderful Dominican people.
